Arezzo (30 km)

A few kilometers from Cortona is the city of Arezzo, an ideal city for shopping thanks to its elegant boutiques on the streets of the historic center. The city is famous at the international level, for its Antique Market which takes place every first weekend of the month in the main streets and piazzas of the town, and for The Joust of the Saracen, a competition which takes place every year in June and September in the picturesque Piazza Grande

Florence (120 km)

With its Architectual and Artistic treasures that make it one of the most beautiful in Italy and in the world as well as the famous “Ponte Vecchio” (the old Bridge), one of the most photographed and admired.

Siena (75 km)

A splendid medieval city famous for its characteristic Piazza del Campo, where every year in July and August they hold the Palio di Siena, a horse race whose origins date back to the 1500s.

Chianti (90 km)

The region of Chianti is most noted for the beauty of its small villages and for its immense vinyards which produce exceptional wines.

Montepluciano (35 km)

In between the Valdichiana and the picturesque Val D’Orcia a aobut 600 meters above sea level, sits Montepulciano, dominating an area rich with vineyards and world class wines such as the Nobile di Montepulciano.

Pienza (45 km)

A little jewel of a city named by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its origins date back to 1462 and it boasts a perfect example of renaissence architecture.

San Gimignano (120 km)

Its original 72 towers only 15 remain in perfect condition. This city is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Perugia (50 km)

This city is found in nearby Umbria. Its city center is located on an acropolis 450 meters above sea level. Perugia is home to the first rate University for Foreigners. The Saint Egidio International Airport is also found on the outskirts of Perugia serving as a connection between the “green Heart” of Italy and the rest of Europe.

Assisi (70 km)

Assisi is the birthplace of Saint Francis and Saint Claire and is only 26 km from Perugia. The hermitage of “Le Carceri”, the Basilica of Saint Francis and the Porziuncola are only a few of the jewels of this city.
